Biological anthropologist Michael Blakey (1953 - ) former curator of William Montague Cobb Biological Anthropology Laboratory and director of the African Burial Ground Project, is the National Endowment for the Humanities professor at the College of William and Mary. Biological anthropologist and research director Michael L. Blakey was born on February 23, 1953 in Washington, D.C. Blakey received his B.A. degree in anthropology from Howard University in 1978. He continued his studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned his M.A. degree in 1980.
